EXPLANATIONS &&
caliph. The king of the herd. His word is the ruling law above all others. Authority may not be challenged by any, and punishment is given to those that disrespect or disobey the caliph. The caliph has five breeding partners including the matron, his mate.
matron. The queen of the herd. Her word is ruling above all others except the caliph. Her authority may not be challenged and punishment is given to those that disrespect her. Stallions found in any way making advances toward the queen are exiled. Her only breeding partner is the caliph.
princes/princesses. Children from the caliph and matron. The strongest and oldest son is chosen to be the future leader if something happens to caliph.
caliph's maidens. The four breeding partners of the caliph. They are selected by the caliph. They are higher ranked than other mares, but less than the queen. They may only breed with the caliph. Any stallions making advances upon the caliph's mares are to be exiled or gravely punished. If the mares disobey the law that they may only breed to the caliph, they are disregarded for their rank.
second lord. The caliph's right arm. He is the general helper to the caliph. His mate is the second lady, and children between him and the second lady are second children. He may breed with any regular maidens if they allow him to- though raping will result in exile. He may not touch the queen or the caliph's maidens.
second lady. The second lord's mate, whom must follow the second lord's personal rules. Children between herself and the second lord are second children. Position chosen by the second lord.
